Wars seem to never stop in this century of the world, and it doesn’t look like it will stop because Mytran Wars is coming to the PSP. Back in August, Deep Silver announced that they will be creating a new IP exclusively for the PSP, and Mytran Wars looks better compared to then.
It’s the 23rd century, and the Earth’s natural resources are virtually gone and the ruling nations are searching for new material deposits in space in order to stop the destruction of Earth. The nations find a planet, but the human armed mecha encounter the habitants of the planet, a war breaks out. Your duty is to research new technologies and to continue reaming your mecha.
This game looks amazing, highly detailed 3D environments utilizing the isometric camera angle, similar to the Killzone Liberations for the PSP. The character models look great, using bright colors really shows the detail put into every aspect of this game. An example of this detailing would have to be when the camera moves in the action taking place between the “machines”. Animations don;’t seem to slow down the game out all because the shots fired, or just environments in motion, the entire area is lag-free. The lands of each world are able to be traveled, and you can find your enemy’s armies and bases. Look at the gallery at the end of this post to see for yourself, and get to see the game in action in the gameplay trailer at the top.
Mytran Wars features comic-style cut-scenes including voice over. The Campaigns has over 30 missions with up to 30 to 40 hours of single player gameplay. If those 30 hours of playing wasn’t enough for you, go and collect the dozens of unlockables and research over 250 items on six different tech-trees. The Story mode doesn’t just end there, there are 4 campaigns to run through with 2 different factions, with a extravagant story plot.
I truely can’t wait for this game, it looks great right now. Look for Mytran Wars this holiday season.
